Park House is a fine Victorian residence which has been carefully upgraded and modernised. It is warm, comfortable and has elegant interiors decorated to a high standard.

The house is in an ideal position in the town centre, with uninterrupted views across parkland to the fells beyond. It is only 2 minutes walk from buses, shops, pubs and cafés. There is private parking for all guests.

There are 3 steps in to the house and all our bedrooms are on the first and second floor, access is therefore unsuitable for wheel chairs.

Ambleside is a centre for walkers, with a range of walks from easy to strenuous starting from the door. Lake cruises from Waterhead are 10 minutes walk away. Fishing permits available locally. We are a minute's walk from bus stops and cinemas.

We serve a first class breakfast with choice (see menu) of full English or vegetarian alternatives, using high quality local ingredients.
